This is why fire exists
that video is about 4 minutes too long.
So many pussies on this thread. LOL.
The only reason to be afraid of these guys is if they were some kind of hybrid mutant instant-death spider like in that movie Arachnaphobia.
....Remember folks, they are more afraid of you than you are of them.
I don't see the big deal. Just a bunch of spiders.
For me, it's not an actual fear of them, just a very very very strong desire to not suffer any bites.
You go blunder into a scene like that, end up with a bajillion spiders crawling all over you, and tell me if you escaped without a single bite.
They fear us, even the biggest meanest ones, and that's typically WHY they bite. It's a: "fuck! ahh get away from me big ass creature! I want live, LIVE!" BITE BITE BITE "aha, take that fucker! perhaps I kill you, perhaps I annoy you! BUT, as you see, now I can make my escape!"
:awe:
I seriously hate bites from nasty critters. Just too long until the area no longer itches and/or is tender, and they always manage to bite in the worst area so you're reminded every time.
It's more a matter of inconvenience. Plus, some do leave a nasty bite while others are less than mosquito bites.
Which reminds me - I fret over those too. Too much of an annoyance.
Same with flies, bees, wasps/hornets especially, fire ants, etc etc. If it can bite, and sometimes leave a lasting annoyance in my life, I despise the damn thing and hope it suffers even greater misery if they so much as look at me wrong. I usually just try to escape/evade the situation - it's worked, even with the stinging assholes nearby and getting a few in my group, I've not been stung in a long while because I leave, usually with the bastards following me for a moment then giving up, thinking they successful.
That's honestly what I think is the root of the aversion that most people harbor for these assorted critters. It's not an inane fear, but a desire to not suffer a bite/sting and be reminded for a week or longer until healing is complete. That, and most of us don't realize, just by a quick look, which ones are harmless and which ones will quite fuck us up in one way or another, be it severe pain or potential health complications.
So basically, what you are saying is that you have a fear of spiders.
