Vid card HSF

The scenario is thusly:
I have a homebrew slot cooler (basically two clear fans zip-tied together) blowing across my slots (towards the mobo, if you're having trouble picturing it). I also have a slot blower blowing that air out the back. At this point would a very good HS do more than a mediocre HSF? I have a northbridge HS that looks a little better than the crystal orb, and it's a damn close fit so I think I can mod it. OR I can mod the HS onto the crystal orb somehow. Is dissipation worth more than the whopping 15cfm I'd get from the TT fan on the orb?

The only way to know for sure is to try it. However, if you're happy with how your video card is being cooled currently, why even bother?
