just installed a new ati xpert 128 on a system of mine, booted ok until i installed there software for enhanced drivers. now it boots to a black screen and hourglass. nothing else. safe mode still works but i don't know what to do to fix it in that mode. the rig is a 500 k6II, 160 meg pc 133, p5a mobo, just formatted and installed win 98 1e, is it the proc or the os that's givin me fits? any help would be great. tia, jer

While in Safe Mode go into the Control Panel and Remove the drivers for your video card. You should then reboot and be able to boot into Windows. Now just reinstall the drivers.

thanks for the reply minendo, tried that. same results. i have it working now but had to slow the hardware accelerator down to basic. (in display properties) seems to be the only way it will work. any more ideas as to how to use this card to full advantage are appreciated. thanx, jer
