What suprises me most about all of this is that everyone is "shocked and appauled" by the action of these players.

Why? They are just doing what they have been doing there whole lives.

This is what happens when you pay someone outrageous money with little or no education, morals or values. just because they are suddenly rich doesn't change anything.

Keep supporting them and this is the behavior that you get......

Mike Vick is a thug, and his actions just proved that. Animals do have some rights, a right to be treated humanely, why do you think we have animal police in every state, and city, that catch and arrest those who treat their animals inhumanely?

If you don't feed your dog and he is starving, and ribs are showing and a neighbor reports you to the SPCA, you can bet the animal police will come knocking and you will be hauled off in cuffs, fined and spend some time in jail. and your dog will be taken away.

Sound familiar? DMX house raided, found drugs and dead dogs...

12 Neglected Dogs Seized; Others Found Buried. Guns and Drug Paraphernalia also seized in the raid on DMX's home.

that sounds more like a care taker not doing the job. Reports has DMX not even being at the house for something like 2-3 months. he was paying someone to take care of them.

If you seriously don't believe that this guy doesn't raise dogs to fight then I have a bridge for sale. Dog fighting along with the money, the drugs, and guns involved are a big thing in inner city ghetto culture.

As for the the events themselves they are events run mostly by ex-felons most of whom are gang members or organize crime types. There is a very good reason why they are banned in the US period as often the large sums of money and/or drugs used as barter, guns used to protect the cash/dope illegally gambled there, and drugs consumed by some people involved while they watch the fights are just preludes to further crime and/or violence down the road that follow these events.

I am willing to give the guy the benifit of doubt. There is NO proof eh was raising them for fighting.

He had not been to the house for a few months. Someone was being paid to take care of them. wich by the looks of it they were not.

DMX has a history of saying how he loves the breed (wich some do). that does not mean uhe uses them for fighting.

"[He] lied and then came back and apologized to everybody, I felt that was classy. ... I was touched that he took full responsibility. I felt that was a real man."

yeah you know why he came back and told the truth and apologized? he had people turning on him. now he is just trying to cover his ass as much as possible.

a sign of a real man is one that takes responbility BEFORE everyone turns on you.

9-4-2007 Whoopi Goldberg defends Vick in `View' debut

Whoopi Goldberg used her first day on the daytime chat show Tuesday to defend football star Michael Vick in his dogfighting case.

Goldberg said that "from where he comes from" in the South, dogfighting isn't that unusual.

"It's like cockfighting in Puerto Rico," she said. "There are certain things that are indicative to certain parts of the country."

Co-host Joy Behar looked horrified at Goldberg.

"How about dog torture and dog murdering?" Behar asked.

For many people, dogs are sport, Goldberg replied
