Vibrating Monitor

I recently moved my computer to another room. After I did this, the picture sort of started vibrating. Or shaking or wiggling. I don't really know how to describe it. This only happens when the refresh rate is less then 100Hz. My monitor only does 100Hz at 1024 x 768, which is really low. I usually like to keep mine at 1600 x 1200, but it only does 70Hz at that resolution.
It seems to be consintrated at the sides, and is most visible with light colors.
Is this interfierance of some sort, bad electricity, or something obvious that I havn't thought of?
BTW - My monitor is a Komodo K95
Thanks!

I used to have weird problems like that when I had my computer's sub near the monitor. Could be interferience....btw, 100 hz is really low for 1024x768? I know my monitor's cheap, but it only does 85, so I don't wanna hear it :p

It may be EMI interference as you suggested. On my desk I have a fluorescent light that causes my monitor image to jitter just like you explained. Once I turn it off everything is fine. Also, awhile back, my mom put a small electric clock near the monitor and the image started to jitter again. I could not figure out what was causing this and I finally was down to my last straw and moved the clock and that fixed it. So, basically anything with a AC motor can cause some interference that may interfere with your monitor.

Stop your one handed serfing for porn might helps :D

Try turn all all electronic equipments in that room off (one-by-one), while leaving the monitor on to diagnostic yer problem.

Thanks for the help guys, but there are no motors near my monitor besides the fans in my comp. Those were there before, so thats not causeing it. Could it be wiring in the walls? My dad said there is nothing special in there, so I doubt it. Could heating pipes be the problem?
Approx how far do these EMI fields extend from the source?
I don't know, I'm just brainstorming.
And lowtech, quiet you ;)
Thanks guys.

It could be a junction box in the wall. I've seen that before. Move your monitor around on the desk. If that doesn't help move it to the other side of the room, and your computer if you have to. It's also possible that the monitor is going bad, though it's not likely being you moved it , and then it started jittering.

Well in my professional opinion you have entered a area of bad mojo magic, I would spray the place with holy water and say a few prayers.

No, but seriously, have you tried moving it elsewhere, i.e. to where it worked before, if you do and its still screwing up then you know somethings bad with the monitor. if not then something else is at fault.

Demons!

Haha, actually, it's what was said above, either a broken monitor or a electromagnetic source. I have bad ventilation near my monitor so sometimes I turn on a fan to help cool it down, and the fan motor makes the screen vibrate... Yeah, move it around, move it back to the other room just for a sec to compare.
