This is quite a achievement.
I work with embedded micros and the thought that there is now a 500mhz x86 cpu that runs at 1watt is amazing.

500mhz may seem slow to some, but there is a lot that can be done at those speeds and only consuming 1watt at full speed. Very well done.

That is impressive, im glad to see we are starting to get reasonable amounts of power with ultra-mobile devices.

I cant wait for dual core 45nm chips undervolted. We will be cranking out desktop-like cpu performance under 10 watts load.

So you could run about 100 of these with the same power envelope as a quad core at 2.4GHz. I wonder which is actually faster?

And, this is only 65nm, 45 could probably do 750MHz at the same power.

how about a 1W 3Ghz chip at 3nm, maybe in another 10 years! :}
