My input on the subject is that I`ve just upgraded in September from a old Intel LX chipset board(Abit) to a Brand new MSI K7T PRO board & Thunderbird 900mhz & I`m very impressed with the stability, thank god I did not listen to rumours, anyway I`m a gamer using a Geforce2 MX card & have yet to run into any stability problems game or Windows wise, just make sure you use AMD`s guideline like Approved parts for PSU,heatsink/fan memory etc & you should have no trouble btw this is my first Via board.
Also the review of a 815E board by Anandtech(ABIT SA6R) crashed quite a few times in testing, alot more infact then the most KT133 boards they have tested.
Final note since I`ve had my faulty CPU replaced I`ve yet to have a lockup or BSOD,my old Intel board would have not survived this long without this happening.
MSI know how to make great boards
