A friend was talkuing to me about how unstable and reliable the VIA chipsets were. Can anyone post a good article detailing the VIA chipsets against other chipsets?

Personally, I'm looking at the i850 chipset on the Abit TH7-RAID motherboard... any comments?

Hmm sounds like the same guy who told a "friend" that Athlon systems suck b/c they crash a lot, overheat, and die.

Just look around in people's signatures and see what processor's and chipsets they are running :)

I got KT133A chipset, runs great, fine, and stable. No complaints.

But IMO that some VIA chips did stink, usually revision two of those chipsets are pretty good. KT266 (so-so) KT266A (better). KX133? (so-so), KT133A (better)

My 2 cents.

Yes. Don't do it.
