VIA chipset/driver question???

I have a VIA chipset (KT266A) and was wondering how necessary is it to install the 4-in-1 drivers from VIA... my experience when I install the 4-in-1s is I start to experience computer lockups and pci device conflicts when I install them... I'm running a clean install of WinXP Pro and everything is fine right now (minus the 4-in-1s)... I even got my PCTV card to work without locking up my computer... so I'm really wondering whether to d/l the 4-in-1s or just go by the motto "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."... What do you guys think... any comments and/or constructive criticism is welcome...🙂

Since it is a clean install why not go for it to get the 4-in-1 capability. If it screws up you can *easily* reinstall.

Screw 4-in-1 when I installed on my computer hoping it would fix a previous problem instead it slowed down my boot up time for XP. So I say don't waste your time, I've never experienced performance gains from installing them.

In general there`s no harm installing the latest VIA 4 in 1 drivers in WinXP,I`ve done it about 5 times myself, btw it only updates the INF file and AGP driver which will give you a slightly better performance then the XP default AGP driver.

In the end it`s your PC your choice.
