VIA c3 question....

Lifer
i've got a spare 900mhz c3 cpu erza-T 1.35volts.

i was wondering does this work on PPGA boards, or is it FCPGA only?

i have a older box with a celeron i810 ppga only board, and it would seem to be a good upgrade (the box is a 66bus celeron 500 and well ifigured this has to still be faster than that).

i am afraid of destroying the cpu or mobo.

Check the specs for the mobo it should list CPU support (incl Via CPUs). Or contact Via.

theboard i have is this ASUS one that was made for HP. so like asus has no support for it. i know the less than 800mhz cpus worked, since they were 1.65 volts, (samuel 2 cyrix iii chip) but not sure if the c3 works
