VIA BusMaster on A7V

After installing VIA 4 -in -1 v 4.28 on Asus A7V , the ATA/100 disk seems to have slowed down . I understand that the IDE BusMaster is slower that the Win 98 SE one that it replaced . How do I restore the Win 98 driver ? What is it called ? How can I check which one is actually running ? Also , I don't recall the VIA installation dialogue asking about the BusMaster - is this considered part of the ATAPI dialogue ?

To reinstall the default driver.
All you need to do is run the VIA 4in1 v4.28 Driver again. Select VIA BusmasterDriver. Click next or OK i think and this time I will ask if you want to uninstall the driver. Reboot and Win98 should reinstall the default driver for you. Hope this help

When running the VIA 4 in 1 install , then BusMaster is not one of the options for install/uninstall .

That is weird. I just double checked by running the VIA 4in1 Driver. And VIA Bus Master Ultra ATA is one of the option, along with AGP and USB driver.

Same here, I get those options. There was a 4.28 beta and a 4.28 final. Download the newer ones again, you may have the beta still. Download it anyways to double check because it isn't that large in the first place.
