Via 4 in 1/WinXp Question

I was just wondering if the Via 4 in 1's have to be installed under WinXP if running a Via Chipset. I currently dont have them installed, and my XP is running prime, but I was just wondering if I would get more performace using the 4 in 1's.

BTW - I have the KT133A chipset
