<< 4.32 Beta- Found on Abit's download page. These drivers are dated 5/17 and are untested. As they are not yet on VIA's site, they should be treated as Beta. >>

I`ll wait for official ones :).

You think just because of a new motherboard you won't need new drivers? HA! This is a new motherboard with a new chipset, you are virtually guaranteed drivers for the chipset for virtually any OS out there (maybe WinXP has drivers for it, but certainly not Win2k and Win98).

If nForce doesn't have drivers, then how the heck will Windows recognize the correct north bridge and south bridge?

What I am saying is that with Intel chipsets, I don't have to constantly update the drivers to improve stability. With Via chipsets, you do. I am hoping that the nForce will perform just as stable as an Intel chipset.

Ok, Ive got them installed. They obviously have a new AGP driver, cuz I was having a problem where everything was indicating (SiSoft Sandra, WCPUID) that my GF2MX was running in AGP 1X. Now its correct at AGP4X....Seem ok, no probs here.

...and KDOG's screen freezes as he hears horrible "clicks of death" from the hard drive and all the USB ports flow data in reverse...at 12.5 volts. :D Joke! Thanks for being the Guniea Pig, KDOG! I havent' found a set of Via's yet that can cure my "sometimes hardlocks as soon as Outlook is opened" problem. Happens about 10% of the time. Small inconvenience though.

With the nForce, ONE DRIVER covers IDE, Modem, sound, video, LAN.

hmm via here...i dont NEED to update..everything works fine (after i ditched the sblive, it sucked anyways.) i just chose to update, cuz you never know, you might squeeze some more performance.

The reason you have to upgrade the 4in1's is because MS saw fit not to include them in their O/S. I believe this is also true of every motherboard chipset other than INTEL's. I find it a bit harsh on VIA to blame them for this, as they are doing their best to give you the best possible stability and performance at any given time.

Why would Microsoft include them when they change every weeK?

Are 4.32s official yet?

How do you tell what speed your AGP is running at? 1 2 or 4X?

I dislike via as well, but just because they release new drivers doesn't mean you need to load them...For many users 4.28-4.29 was the last real issue that corrected some performance issues...for me and my 686a southbridge the newer 4.31 didn't update anything as it was intended for the sblive fix. If you are stabile and things seem to be running to spec and comparable to others then don't f with it...

As for stability, other then the handful of people that had some sblive issues even with 4.25's on my mobo cd I had stability...performance increases came with the 4 in 1's for many, as well as better win2k support.

From what I heard, someone windiffed this release and found that only the WinME subdirectory changed from the prev rls. So if you're not on WinME, then it's the same as 4.31.

My friend updated his mobo with 4.31 on winme and after that his system went kaput...maybe that's why via just changed the winme drivers...:)

Hey I'm using the 4.31 drivers with my GeForce3...and Sisoft Sandra says I'm only running at AGP 1x! You upgraded to the 4.32's and then you started running at 4x? Also, where can I get these 4.32's from? Thanks.
