Whenever I install the VIA 4.22 service pack, windows won't load. I have go into safe mode and reinstall the older ones that came with my motherboard. How do I fix this?

If you're using Win98Se all you need is the Agp 403 driver, the rest is not needed.

witch kind of cpu is this is this the new coppermine or the old one if it is a coppermine you need the latest SB live drivers also 3.x
because of a incompatability with the coppermine cpu with the via drivers you have that is if you get a BSOD for the UMU10K i thougt.

Incompatibilities? I have never heard of that. VIA 133A works great with SB Live!. I have the older Coppermine stepping, and Im using the 4.17 4-in-1s. Also, the Live! DSP is called EMU10K1.

I am getting fed up with Via, their drivers do not work with Nvidia's 5.xx drivers

I have the nvidia 5.3 drivers. I obviously can't install the 4.22 VIA drivers so I have the 4.17. I installed the AGP 4.03 drivers though. I have the latest SB Live! drivers so that isn't the problem.
