Add one shot "The Matrix", one shot "Silence of the Lambs", a hint of "What Dreams May Come", a twist of "Dark City", and top it off with "Event Horizon". Shake. Stir. Drink. Now vomit it back up.

What do you have - The Cell.

The principle of the movie was pretty cool, but it went more for shock value than it did for "substance".

Just my humble opinion :)

Well, the people who made the movie even admit they just went more for visuals rather than actual depth of plot or characters :) That movie is STUNNING in the theater but it's visual impact is totally gone on TVs...even big screens.

Watching it in a theater is sooo different, I was just almost drooling it was so cool when she was in his "world". I have it on divx now and its just not the same, still good.

Visually it was good but it did not spend enough time developing the plot and characters.
