VHS-C tape that WILL NOT PLAY!!?!?!?!

I've got a camcorder tape that plays back AUDIO but no video...just static. It is that way throught the whole 30 minute tape. Tapes made with the same camera BEFORE and AFTER this bad tape play PERFECT. I've tried different VCRs for playback...no dice.

BTW, the content of the tape is a wedding...so this may be a bad omen for the bride and groom.

Any ideas what might be the problem? Can this tape be repaired or salvaged?

Dood... bad news. I consulted with my Personal Technician regarding this matter. He believes the head was clogged during the recording, and somehow cleared afterward since your subsequent recordings are good. If there is any kind of picture there at all, you might be able to enhance it for viewing.

i'm sure it can be clean.
you just have to pull out all the tapes and wipe them clean of dust with a damp cloth.
