Ok any body has used this VGA Silencer Rev 3 for ATI 9800 PRO, and how much can you get out from your card 420/740 will be possible.
 
Is that a question or a statement?

I`ve heard the ATI Silencer 1 might be better... the heatsink on that is made of copper and has a smoother base.

Havent seen any reviews of it, so I dont know for sure. If anyone here has tried one of those, please speak up.

But generally speaking, the VGA Silencer Rev.3 should be a safe buy - many 9800 PRO owners have been recommending it for quite some time.
 
I can definately recommend it!

It's damn cheap and produces less noise than stock coolers, even at max speed. I'm max at 440/760 by the way with my Sapphire Radeon 9800 Pro 128MB.
 
I love mine, too. Case temps. dropped by 3C after installing it on my 9800Pro. All other equipment/settings identical.

I haven't even tried to push my card since I installed it. I get good enough performance at 400/720.
 
Ok are you guys serious, yeah it is really cheap $11, i am going to order it right now. Looks like it is a best air cooler available.
 
So... no-one`s tried the new fancy-schmancy "ATI Silencer 1" yet? Come on, I know someone`s got to have tried it... 😉

Ah, still too pricey for what doesn't seem to be very much gain. I've learned not to be the guinea pig when it comes to new cooling devices.

Kamranziadar - they are available at newegg, just look up arctic cooling products

i really don't care about the o/c (that much) . .. . i am running a 9800Pro 256/256 flashed into a 9800XT . . . the Silencer Rev 3 drops my GPU temps at least 10 C . . .. but - best-of-all - my CASE is COOLer since the GPU's hot air is exhausted out of the case. 😉
