vga silencer r3 question

Just installed a vga silencer on an 9800 pro but i notice not much air being exhousted out the back.Could it be that the fan is turning the wrong way mine is turning counter clock wise.

Did you dick around with the item or just install it as per the instructions? BTW, it's exhausted not "exhousted". You could also say "venting" since that's what it's really doing. An easy way to test the air flow would be to blow some smoke onto the cooler while it's running. What you use to generate the smoke is entirely up to you. Just make sure it's not using something that will leave something behind (like cig smoke will).

No, i did it like the instructions say.It just seems like not much air is being vented.

It doesn't exactly send a gale force wind out the back., even on high.

Yup. Don't expect a gush of air. You can barely feel the air with my R2 on high.

Dont worry 'bout it. Mine doesnt blow a bunch of air either. I have a 9800se oc to 9800pro speeds and it works fine. I had it overclocked to 391.50/372.60 at one point and will go back to that as soon as i get some memory heat sink's.

Same here. I have a Rev 2 on my 9800 Pro, but also used a Rev 3 on a 9600xt. Both were about the same.

I had one on a 9800Pro and on low couldn't feel air at all but on high I could definitely feel warm air coming out. If you aren't feeling anything, the fan might not be increasing speed for some reason. Does it get louder when you put it on high? I don't how loud your comp is but I could always hear mine when it was on high and couldn't hear a thing on low...

It is supposed to turn counter clockwise.

As mentioned by others, it does not blow out air with a lot of pressure.
One thing that may reduce the air flow would be very low air pressure inside the case.
Open your case and see if there is any difference in the amount of air moving out of the back from the silencer.

Listen it's not the 5800U cooler, this baby doesn't blow air that fast but you could feel warm air coming out. So relax don't worry and enjoy life
