Just got an email from SVC which offers the VGA Silencer & OCZ copper ramsinks for just 19.99. They say that it's usually priced at like 33.00 or something like that so this seems to be quite a deal. I already placed my order. Tax was like 7.00, but that's pretty basic for SVC.

This couldn't have come at a better time, i've been waiting for the vga silencer to drop to 9.99 on a sale for a few days now so i could buy it and the 2 packs of ramsinks. that would have worked out to like 23.00 with that sale. someone is watching over me - his name is THE DEAL FAIRY!

How do you get the discounted price? When you add two packs of ramsinks and the cooler to your cart, it shows up as $33. Is there a code or something?

You use this link.

But, frankly, I've got enough of these things at this point. :)

sorry if i'm hijacking...
but regarding ramsinks, do i have to use epoxy (or is there any other effective option that isnt quite permanent)?

good deal if you're in the market for the two...btw for those looking for revision 3 i think newegg should have them in stock soon

Here's a quote from the site:
The easy to use thermal tape allows for proper installation without the use of messy adhesive. Comes in a four pack.

Basically the ram sinks have thermal tape on them, so it is not permanent. You can easily remove them. The bad thing is that thermal tape isn't necessarily as good as thermal epoxy, which would be permanent.

i wonder how thin of a layer of arctic silver this would require... thinner than usual perhaps? no, that would be impossible.

as5 and their thinness, i wish the bastards would just merge with intel or amd and like make some kind of as5 that's already on the chip. that wouldn't make a lot of sense, but i like to dream.

That is an awesome deal. I got some aluminum OCZ BGA ramsinks and the VGA silencer for a little under that price, but I'd rather have the copper ramsinks.

Wow! Talk about a bad deal... I selected first class mail to ship it and it wanted to charge me $999.00 to ship!!! Yikes! I mean, I knew gas prices were getting expensive... lol

I think I will stick with priority for $6.00.

At first it was seriously almost inaudible. Now...maybe it's cause of dust or a manufacturing defect, mine is making some rotor noise...still pretty quiet on low though.

Is there RPM monitor on this fan? I see that it has a yellow lead, but not sure if it would have the RPM monitor.
Thanks.

Not sure if this belongs here, but I ordered these on 4/28 and still haven't received them. Anybody else still waiting on their order?
