VGA RAM heatsinks

I am ordering an Accelero S1 for my toasty X1950XT and on every reviews I read the ram heatsinks included would not stick. So I added the blue Zalman heatsinks to my cart* (ZM-RHS1).

Anyone have better choices?

To your car? How many?

They should be fine, unless you want to go with purchasing copper ones and using thermal epoxy to permanently attach them to the vga ram.

The MC14 from Swiftech are copper, they seems really good. But they are very big, I checked some side pictures of the S1 and I think the MC14 are like 2 times heigher than the originals ones, it wont fit.

So I guess my only choice is the zalman, since they are pretty low. But anyways they worked good on my 6800GT when I bought a VF700 so I think it gonna be allright.

I'd say the Thermalright HR-03 is probably the best out there right now. Not taking anything away from the S1 though, looks like a really good cooler, especially for the price.

But the ram heatsinks included sucks. That why I was looking for other aftermarket gpu VRAM heatsinks.

Neither of those look stock and are a pain in the ass to install. I had a Thermalright V1 Ultra and was never pleased with it.

I picked the Thermaltake TMG-AT1 because of it's stock looking design and DHES. It cooled better than the V1 Ultra and was more quiet.

Sorry, I don't read spanish.

To get those results, looks like it's using 2x120mm fans. I can understand that...the HR-03 doesn't have that option.

Thanks for bringing up this cooler, I'm seeing a lot of similar results. For the price I think I'll be checking it out for some smaller machines.

"The thermalright HR-03 from past reviews of it cools better than the Thermaltake TMG AT1, no doubt about that. But it also takes more space"

Do the math.

I have no doubt that it's better, it's freakin' huge. It just doesn't do the stock look very well. I went from stock to V1 Ultra back to stock and then the TMG-AT1. I just didn't have a need to go from there.

FYI, here are pictures of my X1900XT with the V1 Ultra (2 fans) and using a custom vreg heatsink.

It's German you ass. :|

I'm sorry, but I found this really hilarious. How xenophobic do you have to be to not recognize the basic languages, or web domains for that matter? 😛

oh...my...god.

I guess the internets are serious business. I'll keep my humor elsewhere.

EDIT: oh, didn't realize it was jcm. I disregard everything that guy says anyway.
