VGA Boxes

I heard if i wanted to play video games on my monitor I should get a VGA box, and not a TV Tuner card.

So, what brands are recommended for VGA Boxes? Any recommendations? I know Hauppauge is a good company for TV Tuner type cards, but I am totally lost on what would be a good brand for VGA boxes.

Thanks for any useful advice,
Taej

Hi "T"

Can you explain a bit better?

What do you mean by "monitor"? (what kind)

Same for "VGA box"

Synthdude is a genius! 😛

And what I am looking for is called a VGA box.. I was just wondering if anyone had any specific recommendations 🙂.

I bought a VGA Box off of Ebay to switch between my PC and video game connections(Component-VGA). The model I have is called LinXcell. It gets the job done, but does introduce some noise in the signal when using it. However, its fairly minor and it beats the hassle of swapping cables.
