A shout out of THANKS! to all our veterans.

Here's a list of deals and freebies for vets today. Free meals at Chili's, Applebee's, IHOP (pancakes), Little Caesars (lunch pizza), Bob Evans, Fazoli's (pasta bowl),Chicken Salad Chick, Red Robin, Olive Garden, Denny's (breakfast), . Free beer at World of Beer!

We're planning on Applebee's (it's closest) for dinner and husband is going to try for the Bloomin' Onion and beverage at Outback for lunch.

I stopped trying to get in on any of the freebies for lunch, with the proximity of the military base, they're all jam-packed.

Although that Little Caesar's one may be doable...

Buy buy baby is giving 25% off all weekend. We bought a $250 bassinet and $230 camera/monitor with it. Saved a ton. It's not just food discounts.

I used to go out on Veterans day but theres a ton of retirees in Manassas and any place that serves decent food is packed.
Its not worth the headache.

Also, every year more and more of them switch from a free meal to a family discount, so the problem just gets worse each time.

If you have a Famous Dave's BBQ in your area, they are offering a free 2-meat meal for veterans.
