My friend is on probation for selling fireworks in a banned area and has to take drugs tests(not sure why). Well he has been taking them since July and has had no problem. Well today his PO called and said he needed to talk. Seems like his last two tests have come up positive for drug use. I know for a fact that my friend doesn't do that crap and he is pissed off as is his parents. He told the PO he wants independent verification ASAP and the PO said sure. I thought drug test were fairly accurate. How could two in a row show drug use? Is there a possibility samples could have been contaminated or switched twice?
It just doesn't make any sense. I am around my friend almost everyday and have been around him almost everyday over the past month. He was shocked when his PO told him that he failed. Tests are done weekly and your test day varies from week to week. Some days your date could be a monday, and other days a friday.
I don't see how a sample could be switched twice when the days are random. That only leaves contamination, but I thought the labs had pretty good procedures in place. Neither me nor my friend understand how this could happen. Any thoughts?

Cipro was causing a false positive on his drug test.
