But, yes, very close to home. My buddy the Republican is re-reading "The Rise and Fall of The Third Reich", by Shirer. Good grief, every night he sends me an email about how Hitler/Goering/Goebbels sound just like Johnson/Nixon/Bush. Actually, it's all noise, isn't it? It's "buffoon", you buffoon.

And, it's entirely possible the 9/11 attacks could have been prevented had Bush and his administration actually done something re:Al Qaeda instead of letting it go untouched. Esp. considering the CIA stated, on Jan. 27, 2001, that Al Qaeda was behind the USS Cole attack. The Bush admin did nothing but relegate counterterrorism to a deputy-level task...and the deputies weren't even on-board until April!
