Very vague description, but: Anyone know this song?

It's gotta be 70's (maybe late 60's). If any of you just watched 3rd Watch on NBC, after words they showed an ad for a new show with Jeff Goldblum in it (or whatever his name is, the Jurassic Park guy), and this song was in the background for the ad. Somewhere in the lyrics was "it's just a shadow" or "it's just your shadow" or something like that. It almost has a similar sound to Jimi Hendrix's "All Along the Watchtower" (y'know, there must be some kinda way outta here, etc). No luck with Google.

I would be so amazed if someone actually was able to name it. Hey, worth a shot right?

Was it like a drama show, that new one that he's got on NBC? (I only ask, cuz it'll make it a lot easier to search for.)
