Very unusual computer problem

I, with my family, recently went on vacation for spring break, but when we got back, a perfectly good and still pretty new computer was having problems booting. Right from the start it would get to the raid screen, right after it displayed the HP logo screen. It would always get suck at the same screen though, even when I tried to enter bios or enter system recover. I checked inside the case, and on the out side everything seemed fine, all fines where running, at cords where snug, and then I tested the power supply, it worked fine as well. I tried different outlets in the wall, to see if for some reason that was the problem, I though maybe a power surge in the power strip but it wasn't. I tried floppies and CD's and neither worked.
 
actually, I'm not sure that its a raid screen, it says

So, it never gets past that screen?
 
never. I have tried to reboot it many times, but it still wont go past, no matter what I do.

I wish I could at least figure out what may have caused this, so that i might be able to prevent this agian in the future.
 
Does it detect the hard drive? I recommend never buying from HP ever again run far away. But to be helpful, go into the bios which on a hp might be a mystery but try F10, Del, F2, F1 something will work i hope, and see if you can see the hd, and reset everything to defaults if u need to. Also believe it or not giving it a hard kick might fix something, in the past that's worked many times where something just needs to be jolted or whatever lol.
 
There seems to be an add-in SCSI card in this computer. Open it up, and make sure it is properly inserterted into the PCI slot. If you aren't sure which is the SCSI card, try pushing all of them in to be sure they are seated properly.
