Why would anyone mention these, all 3 movies are incredibly different. This is as stupid as Whoozyerdaddy bringing up all the 2007 movies for coincidentally being the 3rd of a trilogy, yet sharing nothing else in common. B. those movies are essentially two parts to one movie
C. they're actually relatively different movies (the first being almost complete action with the second giving it a bit more of a story)
D. the point of this thread is to come up with similar movies made by an entirely different crew/production studio that were released around the same time...

I remember seeing the preview trailer for 28 Days Later during the premier of the Resident Evil movie and hearing it proclaimed as a "bold new direction in zombie thrillers" (referencing the viral infection aspect).
