Very short clip from my new short film

I can tell you this, the population of AT is going to be very disappointed. Half of that clip wasn't even footage. The other half was one girl stroking another girl's face.

Yee haw.

Decent camera work anyways.
 
sorry, i know.. it's very short. and I'm going for moody not necessarily erotic.. i just wanted to show my new camera work since everyone bashed my last project..

that's pretty sh!tty. i would insult people's intelligence, but one thing i wouldn't really do is bash someone's creativity. unless your movie was amazingly homosexual in some way.

anyway, nice work so far. what's the movie about?

Thanks man, whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger.. right? I wouldn't want to give too much away with the plot but it involves lesbians, conmen, and violence.. The script is up if you're interested.. I won't post it because I do post too much stuff here, PM me if you'd like it..
 
That's cool. i'm not sure how serious you are about filmmaking, or what stage you're in, but I think that you captured a "mood" quite well. Keep 'wm coming as you film them, man.

I'm a serious beginner.. Or. Seriosly in need of a lot of practice.. 🙂 Thanks though, "mood" is what I'm always worried about capturing so I appreciate the compliment.. I won't bombard ATOT with my samples any more but I'll update you guys every so often.

That's pretty good... the pauses in between scenes add to the suspense...

I think it could be better if after the pause, the camera would take the viewers to an unexpected place, i.e. the sensual touching of some non explicit body parts (in an artistic expression, not pr0no like)... then back to the face...

Ready for that ATOT movie?

Glad you kinda liked it- actually, these are cut away scenes (flahbacks) to a conversation that's happening in a bar.. So these people are talking and we cut back and forth (through the flashes) to the woman's memories.

Funny you should mention an ATOT movie! My next short is based on this forum...
 
I just finished writing a screenplay for a horror/thriller flick I'm filming this summer. I can't wait!

if you're the guy who's been posting clips now and then, i'll pat you on the back and say you've come a long way in terms of camera technique. the first stuff wasn't so hot, but this is interesting and catches my eye. ok, and the chicks didn't hurt either. 😉

Yep, I'm that annoying guy 🙂 I really appreciate what you said - I'm trying very hard to learn from my mistakes and it's nice when someone notices that.
 
I tend to agree about the pauses. It may be cool if you sync'd up the music beats and the fades... they seem to be just bout the right speed that I think would rock. So far so good, fb212.

Good call - the song is a temp track so it's not synced perfectly but I'll fix it anyway since it's a quick tweak.
