Very rare intel processor,Has any one ever seen one?

I have several computers,Just a question if any one ever heard of one or seen one in operation on a P-3 Board,I have emailed Microsoft asking about this super fast processor a few years back and they told me it was a limited edition test run on these and are extremely rare and only made a few because they were to fast and would never sell 550/600/650/700/800/1 gig etc.thsi runs on 256cache and bumps into 512 cache when it needs it ,Very rare,I run this processor on a cuv4x board with only 128mb ram everything else stock and it runs just as fast as any p-4 i have seen, find some info if you like scan the web let me know if you find some thing,It will be rare if you do.

Such numbered naming convention is recent and 520E is 2.8 GHz.

What are the speed and multiplier specs for your CPU?

Perhaps it is just a PIII 1.4S (Tualatin)? The later PIII's were faster than the early P4's.

You probably did a search and found out you could not find info,That is how rare this socket 370 is.If it had wings it would fly!

There is no S370 processor called thew 520E at all, limited edition or otherwise I can assure you that with complete confidence.
Your quite mistaken.

If Intel had a processor expensive or otherwise back in the S370 days that could outperform the P4 3.8E they most definitely would have marketed it long long ago, if likely at a lower clockspeed then they might have been able to push.

The only Intel processor ever launched called the 520E, is a 2.8GHz LGA775 Prescott.

If you want definitive confirmation beyond what anyone here can offer you can contact Intel directly. Their surprisingly responsive when it comes to providing technical specifications on any processor they have ever launched, even today they'll still end out technical documentation on processors that are decades out of date..

Its been seen running by many that have hotrodded 3.2's ,and yes its rare and probably faster than your mobo,Search microsoft if you like it wont be on their site either,It was a test run processor there well be only a few out there in peoples pc's.if i am not mistaken intel told me there was only 50 in production world wide.Would i sell it? NO.

Sorry you are wrong,You to must have done a search with no info,Thats how rare it is.microsoft did not advertise this processor, during my seaches i was just hoping to find some one else that posted some thing about it that had one.

On another note, whatever processor you feel you have certainly isn't based on any derivative of the P6 core. I can't imagine any P6 core processor @520MHz regardless how heavily modified would ever match curent high end P4's.

The fact that you say it's running at 520MHz is also an immediate clue that your incorrect.
The CUV4X only runs fully within specifications at a FSB of 66/100133MHz, and you can't get 520MHz from any of those FSB speeds. While you could set the FSB at an alternative speed that would be running outside of specifications, and Intel most definitely would NEVER EVER dream of launching and supporting a processor on a platform within which it would not operate fully within it's stock rated specs.

There are Intel microprocessor design engineers that post on this forum on occasion, I could direct you to them if you wish to contact them for confirmation.
I'm reluctant to pass along any PR contacts within Intel for obvious reasons, but you should be able to contact Intel yourself to verify what I've said.

Perhaps, indeed probably likely.
I'd like to believe however naively that he's genuinely mistaken however.
If that's the case, and he doesn't wish to believe those here I'm sure he will get around to contacting Intel directly once enough people here verify that what he's saying is not accurate.

If you want you can all give me your email address ,i just took a picture of my monitor at boot up and paused it to show all you newbies, leave email and i will send you to seperate pics of the boot up.

I show you the pic i took on boot up and then you can say your Sorry,😉

How can you people take this guy serious?
When he says that he e-mailed "Microsoft" and that we should e-mail "Microsoft" to get information about this UFO- technology-driven CPU.

"thsi runs on 256cache and bumps into 512 cache when it needs it ,Very rare,I run this processor on a cuv4x board with only 128mb ram everything else stock and it runs just as fast as any p-4"

Above statement shows how this guy is just clueless.

Why would microsoft advertise the processor?

they woudnt advertise this processor because it was built for testing and found out it was to fast and would not sell others that were made in the future,No money for the future.understand.

I'm sorry but no, it's not possible.

If this is meant as a joke, it shouldn't be in this forum at all. If he's serious, it's still ridiculous.
