Very quick RDRAM question - identifying current memory in system.

I posted a few days ago about getting some rdram for a friend's system to upgrade. Anyway, he opened his case up and wrote down the part number that was on the Samsung RDRAM currently in his system.

Is the memory he has in his system currently 16-bit? He has a Dimension 8250.

Here's the part number and a product spec link I found on gateway's site when I tried a google search on the memory.

Model Number of Samsung Memory: MR16R1624DFO-CT9 1066-32P

You could always pop it out and check; 16-bit RDRAM has 184 pins, 32-bit has 232 pins.

EDIT: Just checked your link. That's 16-bit RDRAM.
 
16bit used in pairs. 32bit used single since the 2 16bits are on one module. Boards that use the 232 pin 32bit very uncommon. Only board I remembered that used the 232pin was one ASUS board forgot who else used them.

Correction:

i850 = 400MHz FSB 16bit RDRAM (ex. Asus P4T-E. The P4T was an i850 based mobo also but was using the 423pin socket)
i850E= 533MHz FSB 16bit RDRAM (ex. Asus P4T533-C)

P4T533 with i850E = 533MHz FSB 32bit RDRAM (normally referred to as RIMM4200 (1066MHz speed))
