Very OT: Victoria's secret fashion show!!

It's worth a look.


edit: after seeing it I can't say it was as good good as it was hyped up to be, but still pretty good.

I love that show too. What were they building this time?

They were building vehicles that could run on land, or on railroad tracks. One team used a taxicab with drop down rail wheels, the other a wheeled frame powered by a motorcycle, that they had to put the front axle on after they were on the tracks.

Once on the tracks they had 3 timed runs, the first was through a set of "points" (switched track junctions), the second was hauling a loaded cart up a slight incline, the third was for speed, also through a set of "points".

The Taxicab lost a rail wheel after the second run, and was doing well on the speed run until the car jumped the tracks in the "points" section, so the motorcycle powered one won.

I'd be interested in doing that! I have to say though - I much prefer the British hosts/personalities over the Americans.

Same here, although my welding skills are extremely rusty. And I too prefer the British hosts to the Americans. I thought the best combination was the British chap and the girl who went on to host Full Metal Challenge.

Part of the problem is the American show is having the American hosts do "funny stuff" that is so faky and lame that it isn't funny.

If they'd just let them do commentary, interviews, and such and focus on the teams building, it would be better.

IMHO.



Funny how this thread was started about some super skinny women strutting around in lingerie and the majority of the conversation is about building stuff out of junk. :Q

We could have multiple TA teams doing it all in the same season and the odds one of us would win would be pretty good.
