I've had it in for a few hours now. Using Powerstrip to OC with.

This is an OEM package that Newegg had for $399-$50 instant rebate +3.99 shipping last week.

Thought I'd start out slow because of the few overclocking articles involving both the AGP and PCI-E version, not overclocking well on the core. So I figured I'd start at 450 core/550 mem and run 3Dmark05 and Aquamark3 at default. Passed on both. 3Dmark05 scored a 5400 and Aquamark got me a 64,097.

Then I tried out 475 core/575 mem, but this time just Aquamark cause it gets me a result faster hehe. Got a 64858. Not bad and better then anything I had read.

And finally, I tried 500 core/600 mem. Got 65573 Aquamark and 5874 3Dmark05.

This is with the stock HSF that came with the card. No extra cooling or anything. I'm pretty impressed with this video card.

Specs of system:

A64 3400+ Newcastle w/ TT Silentpower HSF
MSI K8T Neo-FSR
BBA AIW X800 XL AGP
1gb Corsair PC 3200 CL 2.5
74GB WD Raptor

Can you try stock x850 core speeds (I think 540)? I heard a rumor that this card has the same core.. if so I really want to pick one up. The worst thing that should happen is you lock it up and have to reboot :p. Thanks for posting.. also how do you like the included MMC software?

Tried to clock the core to 540 but no go. Only can get up to 512 with stock cooling. Mem is maxing at 600. Start getting artifacts with it.

Was finally able to hit 6029 in 3Dmark05 though. Didn't think I'd be able to hit it with an X800 XL.

As for MMC, not sure I like it too much. Can be buggy. My FM tuner gets an ATIMMC error. Been trying to search for a cure for it but to no avail.

Yah, don't forget that the X850 has a HUGE cooler on it compared to the XL. I bet you could get to 540 with better cooling.

Funny thing about the card is that it looks exactly like the AIW X800 XT. Same cooling solution and everything. In fact, as I was looking over my card and comparing it with pics of the AIW X800 XT, I could see no difference between the two. I've only ever heard of the X800 XL PCI-E cards only getting to 490 core with aftermarket cooling and voltage mods.

Many have concluded that it is a downclocked XT - same board, gpu, 1.6 ns memory, enhanced cooler, no AGP bridge (native AGP like XT instead of native PCI-e like XL). It was a great deal and I'm disappointed I missed it - it's gone up by $30 now.
