Wow nice processor, I would have gone with the 4400+ for not too much more though. I just can't quite figure out why you would buy such a great processor and still keep that 9800pro, unless it's a money issue.

Why do you care about a low 3Dmark score if you aren't playing games anyways 😕

Edit: do you have the latest drivers for your video card/ chipset?

If you don't need a good video card, then 3DMark scores are irrelevant to you.

What you're doing is similar to running a superpi benchmark on a 486 and wondering why your bench times are so high.

you should have 5700 3dmark03 points w/ that setup...unless you didn't install all the necessary drivers and patches and what not.

Well I understand that....but the thing here is that you are complaining about low scores with a test that clearly is utilizing your video card....goofy. I also think you should consider what you lost out on by saving a bit of money on the 4200+ (should have gone with the 4400+)

Pretty much was creative tom said,
Why do u care about a graphics test if you don't use it for games... Go do some load testing.

Oh and with the 2 gigs of ram you see some preformance drop as you have to run the mem at 2T instead of 1T.

Check with some of the guys, I can't remember how much this affects system preformance.

flash your BIOS to gain full X2 support.

It's not the video card. I got mid 5000's with my 1700+ @ 2.2GHZ w/9700np 512mb RAM

Your video scores seem on the mark, but the CPU score is terribly low.

Flash your BIOS

Negative. My 3400+ 64 with 9800pro got 4400. I think it's his processor that's the bottleneck.

After flashing the pro to an XT, scores jumped to 6600. It's not the card folks...

I lost out??! First of all, $100 difference for 2% possible performance gain is not what I am looking for(I consider it stupid). Why don't you show me 4200 vs 4400 benchmarks. Show me!! Maybe a few games will utilize an extra 1mb(big maybe). As I said,I do photoshop, video editing and similar stuff. 1mb cash absolutely does nothing in here(PROVE ME WRONG!!)

This test is also utilizing CPU,if you didn't know. If you read what I wrote,I'll help you..."my scores is the same as on my 2500+ xp..."

lol spend too much time at work.....not enough time to read anandtech as much as I used to.....Thanks for clearing that up!
