Honestly, is there anyone who still takes 640 x 480 pics anymore?

I have it as the lowest option on my digicam and it seems way too low class for anything worthwhile.

I last picked up a Nikon camera from a test drive (for free). It has been thrown into the glovebox of the car for emergencies. This would possibly be a good use for that or to give to the kids to take to school for graduation (they can take pictures of their friends).

Just an idea..

1greatguy: did you read my post above? Just follow the link :). Now if you asked if anyone else had some actual sample pictures from their own camera I would understand :). I don't know if that review site I linked is trustworthy.

I bought this camera in a transparent blue color about a year ago from buy.com. Back then it was on clearance for $69, and I got it for $59 with a coupon, so I don't think $41.88 is a hot deal at all. It is a decent camera to play around with and to take still shots to put on a webpage or something. The picture resolution is better than most 640x480 cameras out there (so I've heard), but I usually need to take 2-3 shots before I get one that I like.

Pros: Comes with a AC adapter, 123A lithium battery, Adobe Photodeluxe, image quality can be pretty good, holds 30 images.

Cons: Flash is way too bright, viewfinder is inaccurate, need to wait 10-12 seconds between consecutive shots, no LCD, connects to PC via serial port, camera doesn't remember your user settings after you turn it off.

If you do decide to get this camera, make sure you always use your AC Adapter when uploading or erasing pics. Otherwise, your battery will last about 10 minutes. Also, what you see through the viewfinder is too high and to the left, so when taking pictures you should aim a little low and to the right. Also don't use flash when taking pictures.

I wouldn't recommend buying this camera now. A year ago, it was good for the price, but if you are looking for a cheap camera, recently I have seen deals for 1.2 megapixel cameras for less than $100.
