CompGeeks.com has a closeout on the Belkin
4 port powered USB hub in "Macintosh" blue.

They have it for $12.95. Model number is
F5U001-BLU. Hubs are new (but plain packed) and
come with the power supply plus a 6' USB
A-B cable. This is a terrific deal. You'd pay
$45 or more for this hub anywhere else...

Get 'em while they're still there...

Sorry Kwad Guy, my comments came out looking like I was critisizing you, I did not intend to do so.

Shipping is not too bad. I bought four of them, and shipping
to the East Coast (from California) was $9 total.

As for TomCat's comments about past deals:

1) I got tons of
stuff at Value America for 50% off with Value Dollars. So what?
Those deals aren't available today. And I have my Flooz bonus
dollars still. But again, so what?

2) Belkin products are among the most expensive. Telling me you
bought a no-name hub from Outpost, or providing a link to
a no-name hub at Buy.com really doesn't mean much. BELKIN brand
4 port POWERED hubs go for $40+. Check Pricewatch or Pricegrabber
or Cnet or whoever if you don't believe me...

And although you might think that it doesn't really matter who
made the hub, I have friends who head up IS departments who
swear--on the basis of a lot of experience--that it makes a LOT of
difference...That doesn't mean the cheap hubs you bought aren't
as good in your system, of course. But everyone says that if you're
willing to pay their prices, Belkin hubs are the best, or among
the best.

Hey Kwad -- for what it's worth - thanks for the info on the hubs. I was looking to get a couple of these. Thanks to you, I got a pair of these for under $30 delivered, and they are Belkin vs. some brand I've not heard of from Buy.com.

Hey Tomcat -- why you giving Kwad a hard time. Your link still had a higher price than Kwad's deal he posted, even when you factor in shipping from Compgeek. I see this happen lots of time by people, someone posts a decent deal and then someone just feels the need to belittle it in some way.

I netted two of these for under $30, would have cost me $44.50 by using your link, that's $14.50 in my pocket and a better brand in my opinion.

ChumpUSA has the Belkin 4 port USB hub on sale through tomorrow - $19.95 after a $10 mail-in rebate:

http://www.compusastores.com/products/product_info.asp?product_code=258745

EDIT: I should add that I couldn't find this hub on Belkin's site. Maybe, it's an exclusive for ChumpUSA. The CompGeeks hub looks like a much better hub. Also, if it's $20 including the shipping, you are much better off than waiting for a $10 rebate to get your hub for $20 from ChumpUSA.

No matter, they're showing out of stock as of 7:00p.m. Central time. Good deal, it's no wonder they didn't stick around too long.

Best regards,
Floyd

In checking out this hub on PriceGrabber, it shows the best price is $50. Looks like a real good deal at $12.97 ;)

<< well the hub work under windows? >>

Yes, it will. However, it's kind of late to ask that question now - because they are sold out of this item.

According to PriceGrabber, the F5U021 is listed as Economy w/6ft cable and sells for $25. Best price on the F5U001-BLU was $50. But, this was a one day special so it doesn't matter, can't get the CompGeeks deal now.

Happy 4th!
