I came across a posting for "Dupont IT Solutions" for a consultant role.. I thought it was for the consulting division of Dupont. Interesting, so I submitted my resume, got a call back the next day. We talked some more, I asked about the company and here's the detail that I have:

It's not Dupont and it has nothing to do with the actual company. WTF
It's called "Techquench" http://www.techquench.com/
The guy on the other line (not the recruiter) pissed me off a few times. He said with my current resume, I'll only get jobs at Target or Walmart after graduation. Yeah, whatever bitch, that's why I interviewed with Merrill Lynch, Accenture, IBM, GE, PwC, you name it. He also called me buddy during the call which I didn't find professional at all.

Anyway, I was already offered to join their training program after a 2 minute phone call. Starting salary is at 60K
They're going to send me the contract in the mail which I'll probably toss into the trash but I acted like I was interested to keep any job opportunities available.
It seems like they only offer training in programming but I'm not looking for a programming role. I hate programming.
Here's a craigslist ad from the company that I found -

I don't think Atlanta is the best city for a young Asian professional to start their career. ;)

Either way though, the employer seems way fishy to me

Have you ever actually been to Atlanta? There are a lot of high quality tech jobs there. I'm sure they won't care if he is Asian or not.

Sounds like a regular tech-temp agency to me.... although with less-than-average professionalism. They'll probably pimp you out to their clients(if you're lucky) and I wouldn't count on any real training because pimps do not train their ho's in classrooms. Their training program might be to get you to program something for them. Heh. Or you'll have to pay to get training(despite what the listing says). Or you'll be cold-calling people to sell something or place them somewhere. Sounds like you can do better on your own. What was the role of the guy who pissed you off?
