Yes very cool...some members here have rigs like that. I would do the same, but my laziness doesn't allow for it.

PC rice!!!!

I haven't gone through them all (too much for 56k to handle), but I do admit the two black cases on the first page are VERY nice.

Damn, well. I gotta take some pics of Ashram and Ghim tonight. Hopefully they'll inspire people w/ scraping skills and no budget whatsoever (ie: sub $5 for the entire casemod)

Anyone can build a nice case by putting a couple hundred bucks into it. It takes a real man to take $2 in screws, $2 in metal plumbing straps, some computer parts that were laying around, an old equipment case, and an old case w/ not enough drive rails, to make a neat system that can be carried easily w/ one hand and is 100% concealed w/ the exception of a monitor (yes, KB+trackball+speakers and all are inside)

Damn! That's some crazy sh!t. The guy actually cut into a $180 case (Al case). damn! THat's crazy. Also the other dude with water cooling for vid and cpu? crazy Aren't there more productive ways to spend your time and money than on that? but I must say it looks damn cool. too bad I won't do it to mine cuz my desk is so cluttered all the time that you woudln't be able to see it. :)

some of those cases are really cool, but some of them are just store bought. check out coolcases.com.

Pronto: you attach a faceplate to the CD drawer, and then either solder new wires to the buttons to allow for new buttons (if you're damn cool) or if you're cheap you just use software to open/close the drawer.

Now I want one :)

Those are pretty darn cool. I can't even imagine all the work and money went into those cases, espcially the Maxtor one that is one coooooool looking cardboard case ;)
