Very annoying and weird search engine spyware

I have this really annoying spyware (maybe you'd call it a virus) which redirects me to an advertisement everytime I click a link in a search result. It does this with google, yahoo, and msn, but not ask.com. If I make a search and click a resulting link, I have to wait for the redirect to the advertisment website, click back, and repeat. On the third try it will take me to the actual website I was trying to get to. Neither spybot nor adaware finds it. On the plus side, I have discovered ask.com to be very useful; really like that preview feature. But I'd still like to get rid of this thing, any ideas?

1) what version and service pack of Windows do you have (e.g. WindowsXP Professional with SP2, or whatever)

2) what antivirus and antispyware software do you have besides what you've mentioned already

3) any ideas on where this came from?

4) download HiJackThis from here and post the text from the logfile. If you cannot reach that site, LMK.

5) download F-Secure BlackLight from here and run it. Does it find anything is being hidden? If so, take a screenshot and post it.

Without a hijackthis log I'd try running Fixwareout.exe based on the redirect symptoms and adaware not detecting it.
