the gods of hardware, and drivers have forsaken my poor, misbegotten soul
does anyone out there know how to force the ati (or Hauppauge, pinnacle, etc) software show TV in vertical format?
after talking to ATI support (who denied that their driver could go vertical, poor fools), I realized that they would be of little help. in horizontal mode, whether using the ATI driver, or Pinnacle (portrait studio, inc.), TV works fine. as soon as you switch to vertical format, the TV program can no longer recognize, or properly initiate the driver. This seems common amongst all of the TV programs I have experimented with, as well as our own in-house tuner program. I have my developers investigating, but I am starting to believe there may be some limitation in the technology (most of these adapters share components). If anyone can contribute to my quandary, I would be most grateful...
