Hi,

A while ago I posted about this problem but now it is happening more frequently. I've had my rig for 2.5 months and what is happening now is that when I turn on my computer there are vertical white lines on the screen and once my computer gets into windows it seems that the display doesn't even refresh because if i move the mouse, etc. nothing changes.

Some suggested it might be my video card overheating but I have been monitoring it and the temperature never goes above 45 degrees. Also, the fan still works as I have checked it. I took the video card out and inspected it but don't see any damage as far as I can tell. What should I be looking for?

Any way to diagnose this other than trying to return the card? I'm not sure if I can RMA the video card 2.5 months after buying it so I'll have to look into it.

Thanks.

Yeah I just talked to the online retailer I bought it from and they said they don't sell the video card anymore, a Leadtek 6600GT TDH. I have a 1 year warranty so I'm trying to get an RMA number from Leadtek now.

I just heard it takes a while so I am seeing if anyone can diagnose the problem or have me run some tests before I take the step of sending my video card back.

So I talked to the tech support guy at Leadtek and he thought it could be my power supply. He wanted me to try and run my video card in another machine, but unfortunately none of the machines accessible to me have support for PCIe. My power supply is an OCZ Modstream 450W. Do you think it could be my power supply? I'm just curious because the RMA takes 4 weeks and if the power supply could be the culprit then I might try and find a machine I can test my video card in.
