Vertical Blue lines on Monitor crash.

I've recently had a problem with my computer, it first happened when i was playing a game, my computer just froze and the sound started to loop and blue lines came on the screen, I restarted and tried it again, it done the same thing. This was about 2 weeks ago, sometimes my computer works fine, then it will do the blue line crash thing. I tested it on 2 monitors and the same thing happens so it's not my monitor. I'm thinking it's the video card, I have NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS. It runs at about 65c idle (I thought this was pretty high). Could this be my video card or something else?

Thank you all.

I had a similar problem with my 8800 but it was horizontal lines.

Not sure about the audio loop. Unless the video card responded 'incorrectly' either by address or data and caused the CPU/OS to lock up.

I'd check the video card if I were you.
