Vertex 3 Issues

Has anybody else been having issues with their Vertex 3 (in my case the 240) freezing/locking up for short periods of time?

I have a new Dell Latitude e6420 loaded fresh with Win 7 Pro SP1 with all the latest drivers. About 3 times a day, it will freeze with the HDD light on for about 30 seconds. No other issues. No event log errors. Otherwise performance is fine.

Definitely sounds like an SSD problem to me. Download AS-SSD and run the benchmark. Your test results should be similar to the charts on this page. If the sequential write is much lower than what Anand found, your drive may have backed itself into a bad state.

This has appeared on the OCZ forums. Also there is a fix on the Crucial c300 forums that OCZ references as a fix.

Just a follow up guys. The registry entries for the Crucial site worked just fine (I had a copy/paste issue, but as long as you check the text before you import it, it should be fine)

So far 3 days without the pausing. I wonder if the Intel SSD would have this same issue, or if this is only for Crucial and OCZ?
