Vernors soda anyone have it local?

Ugh. I have bad memories of Vernors. Waaaay back when I was but a youngster I got sick after drinking Vernors Ginger Ale. I have hated the thought of it ever since.

Vernors rules.

It is more prevalent in Michigan, where I am from. But most supermarkets here in Atlanta carry it.

Soooo good.

I have a row of it cooling in the fridge...wasn't Ahnold supposed to have some Vernors if the Pistons won? Or was that just a rumor.

or a tumor.

and it's good stuff...my mom loves it, I have it occasionally.

It was bottled locally here in Detroit for many years so many here have gotten a taste for it.

It definitely has more ginger per ounce than your average gingerale.

Those that don't like ginger will probably spit it out.

I like Vernors 🙂 yep, it's everywhere here in MI.

i think the price is pretty much the same as other sodas.

Actually the story behind it is pretty funny. The reason the cans used to say "Aged in an oak barrel for 4 years" was because the guy that discovered it had left ginger ale in an oak barrel for the length of time he was at war. When he returned he tried it and discovered that it was indeed good. I dont know if this story was true, but the road that he allegedly lived on...is within my county. Yes, I am from Michigan, yes I love Vernors, and yes the name of the road is Vernor rd. No, I didnt make up the story because we have a Vernor Rd. Ive heard numerous reports that he did in fact live there way back when.
