Crazy beautiful.

I'm spending a week in a friend's condo near Ludlow.

I could easily live here all year.

Pics when I come back.

Some of my friends had their own band and during their entire tour (USA/Canada) they all agreed that Vermont was the place they would move to if given the chance. Are there a lot of big retail stores there or just mom n pop places?

winter's suck 🙁

I've been to Killington in the winter... it certainly didn't suck!
It sure beat the hell out of Mountain Creek. 😀

it's all fun and games till you've got to dig your car out from under 3' of snow at 5 am and then drive to work on a road that's a sheet of ice 😛

I drove 30 miles to Walmart today. 😀
Not so many big places, you gotta search for them.

Fixed!

I've lived there my whole life and it rocks! To go to walmarts, etc I have to drive 10miles to NH.

Vermont seemed like the sort of place that I would LOVE to buy a cabin in and live for a year or two with a nice wood fireplace and a huge stack of books. Beautiful in the summer, beautiful-but cold-in the winter, and very isolated. I could do the Walden thing.

Yeah, I had to drive to Claremont, NH.

Damn! You should try West Lebanon, NH. It's up 91 a bit.

Vermont sucks. Tourists can't say otherwise til they've lived there at least 20 years.

If it takes 20 years to realize it sucks, it's waaaaay ahead of many places.

Walmart site seemed to say that Claremont was the closest.
I don't know the roads too well, GPS is saving the day for me.

West Lebanon has more than Wal-mart. It's the retail center of middle NE.

Vermont IS awesome, though it fscking rained for 14 out of the 15 days I was there... I was on a mountain biking trip there and went on all sorts of trails, and to end the trip I rode down mt. killington. 😛 A lot of fun..
