I'm spending a week in a friend's condo near Ludlow.
I could easily live here all year.
Pics when I come back.
I felt the same when I went to Maine.

Vermont is wonderful. I live there (here?), and often forget just how wonderful it is ... I take too much for granted. I love the beauty, the rural-ness, the trees everywhere, and the political views of most people here. I <3 Vermont!
Edit: Oh, and Vermont maple syrup is cheaper in joblot in Rhode Island than in Vermont (for whoever it was that wanted the syrup).

I've lived there my whole life and it rocks! To go to walmarts, etc I have to drive 10miles to NH.
I think the real reason for the lower crime rate has more to do with it being mostly rural with an educated populace.Originally posted by: Amused
Vermont is one of only two states that allows ANY law abiding citizen to carry a concealed weapon with no permit required to do so.
It also enjoys one of the lowest crime and murder rates in the country.
Coincidence? Not a chance.

Oh no. Didn't you hear Sarah Brady? If you allow the unwashed masses to carry guns, we will revert back to the "wild west" with people shooting each other willy nilly.

BTW, which thread was that?
Anyhow, I pointed out why I thought Vermont was a great state.
Ever been there? I mean it is a great state but I can say that from having been there. I also like New Hampshire. Never been to Maine but a lot of Massholes say it's also a great place.Originally posted by: Amused
