To help achieve this, if you use an extraordinary amount of data and fall within the top 5% of Verizon Wireless data users we may reduce your data throughput speeds periodically for the remainder of your then current and immediately following billing cycle to ensure high quality network performance for other users at locations and times of peak demand.

Damn, so they throttle whatever you have in your current billing cycle, and the next one as well? Ouch.

International SGS2 work on any regional carriers?

5% will cover a lot of people. This may turn out to be even worse than the 2gb limit.

they are already throttling me, half of time I don't get 3G connection on places that are 3G supported.
Verizon = money first, everything else behind.

they only pleasure of using Verizon is that they haven't figured out yet ( or don't care) how to block EasyTether.

This could suck a whole lot. I bet a lot of users here are going to be affected. With most folks using well under 1GB this could be a big ol' pile of suck.

All you people with your crazy tethering...this is why we can't have anything nice ;)

Actually TBH, if I had an unlimited plan I would have dumped my ISP and just tethered too, I guess those days are over.

just found out the $20 cable tether option isnt available for 4g phones with vzw as well. they "upgraded" my bosses thunderbolt to the hotspot $30 plan without telling us. when we called, the rep said it wasnt available unless he wanted to switch to a 3g smartphone. pieces of shit, vzw is.

They really are. The only reason why I stick with them is because I have the (no longer available) unlimited data plan, and - more importantly - work pays my monthly bill.

I remember when I got my motorola razr and thought I could just plug it to a USB port and get pictures off of it. That was until I found out that vzw intentionally crippled this feature and you needed to do a hex edit on the phone to fix it. They really are a shitty company, I wish hardware companies could restrict them from yanking features on their devices. Some people probably thought it was motorola's design that prevented this, making them look bad.
