Verizon wireless smartphones - Treo 700wx versus UT Starcom XV6700

I have a choice of two phones to get.

My sister has a treo 700wx that she bought for $100. she wants the $100 back.

OR

I found for a sale a UT Starcom XV6700 for $72 shipped.

I want opinions on what is better, and why.

Both really are abysmal phones. The treo is known for its terrible reception, and lots of WM programs dont work properly on the square screen. At least its the wx so you wont have nearly as many memory issues as if it were just a 700w. The 6700 is big and clunky, reception is only slightly better than the treo. If I had to choose one of them, Id go with the 6700 and load a custom WM 6 or 6.1 rom on it.
 
i'm thinking the xv6700 as well... my friend has a T mobile wign (made by HTC, same company as the XV6700 which is actually called the Apache).

plus, you can hack the crap out of these phones, which gets me excited 😀 hahah
 
I have an HTC Apache (aka, XV6700 and PPC-6700). Good phone, especially if you put a custom ROM on it.
