hehehe, ya, actually the day after they replaced it for me i went back and had them replace it again. it isn't a good phone but i blame motorola for that more than i do verizon.

why isn't it a good phone? what about the Motorola T730?

the motorola t720 for verizon has been plagued with problems. the phone was kind of rushed and the testing wasnt as extensive and detailed as they do for all their upcoming phones now, so that is a reason why the phone is flaky at times. so yes, essentially, motorola made a buggy CDMA-phone. now i understand why verizon is behind in the phone game and takes awhile to release them, i hear their testing methods are thorough.

odd, i'm on their site now and it looks like my phone (VX4400) which was the top of the line at the time, is not there anymore. that's odd, this phone is not even a year old yet and Verizon is not supporting it?

if I do upgrade next year, I need a Tri-mode phone, and the T730 looks to fit the bill. Dual mode does not work for me.

thats strange it doesnt show up for you. i just went there and logged in, and the 4400 is there for me. i even own a 4400 also, so i dont think it excludes phones you already have.

ive been ucing verizon for like 2-3 years and its been fine i almost never lose signal and my friend has cingular and we can be sitting next to each other and i will have reception and he has no service, its funny. I dont need all the bells and whistles of the other phones, mine does all i want it to.

The Virgin pay-as-you-go has been wonderful. Better coverage than my friends phone and since August, I've paid $60 for the service (have about $12 left on the phone).

I'll have to say that Verizon is bar none the best wireless provider.

- Sprint has decent coverage but their billing department is full of retarded jackholes and should all die.

- T-Mobile and Cingular just plain SUCK in Los Angeles. SUCK SUCK SUCK.

- AT&T has decent coverage but the in-store reps are so amazingly stupid that it's a wonder they don't need an instruction manual to breathe. Also, my g/f and I have been on hold with them for a total of THREE HOURS in the past two days trying to switch her number over to this area.

- Verizon has the best nationwide coverage and awesome support. Now, there's going to be illiterate trolls like M2kewl that don't read the entire post and start complaining about Verizon DSL, which not only uses a completely different support center but is also a totally different company. I agree that Verizon telco and DSL suck giant balls but we're discussing VZW which rocks.

edit: Oh, and the VZW LG VX6000 phone > *

that's been my experience. i've had verizon wireless for about 18 months now. i have NO problems signing up for another 2 yrs as i have NO intention on changing vendors.

CHeck the coverage maps (also Sprint and Verizon are building towers all over with about 25 new towers a year-AT&T hasn't built a tower in 1.3 years).

I sell Verzion wireless and Sprint out of my coffee house/computer store, NO ONE else compares to sprint's coverage except verizon and verizon has roughly 50% more coverage than sprint-the only problem with sprint is their data suite-but I use a computer for that 😉

Besides-Sprint and Verizon are the only ones running MMCT multi contact network systems.

I wouldn't touch any other provider with a 50 foot pole.

i think sprint is better out west than it is here in the east. i remember when i had a sprint phone years ago, i went to CA and WOW, great coverage, but back in NJ, only at&t is even close.
