Hmm. Does Verizon allow data-only plans on smartphones though? I didn't think they did.
I know T-Mobile does, specifically targeted at deaf people, but I don't know about Verizon.
Right, but even with T-Mobile I was under the impression you had to document that you were actually deaf. I could be wrong though.

I'm not trying to be a smartass or anything, I just don't see anything on there about documenting you're hard of hearing or deaf.
I'm curious b/c I'm seriously contemplating a Nexus One and if I could make my 15 minutes of calls or whatever I use a month over VOIP, I'd definitely do that and save some $$.
I'm pretty sure most providers do not allow only data plans except for very specific circumstances. If they did, then everyone who uses a smart phone could just use VOIP and pay $30 a month for unlimited use.
They all allow data only plans for laptop connection cards. I have had two - now one.
