Verizon selling 'double data' plans?

I called Verizon this morning after reading about this plan. The cs rep gave me unlimited data for $29.99 instead, for the life of my plan. I have only been with Verizon for 2 weeks.
She said it was a promo in their system & was still available, so she changed my 2gb plan to unlimited. Too awesome.

Whatttttttttttttttttttt Ill sign up for verizon now if thats the case

are they still going to throttle you after 2GB..

Nope. I asked if there was network throttling or reduced speeds after "x" amount of usage & she said no restrictions & Verizon doesn't throttle. I also asked if the unlimited would apply if I upgraded to a 4G phone(I have an iPhone). She told me it didn't matter if it was 3G, 4G, whatever.

I didnt mean to be. I work for the company that does the VZW ads and get to see stuff that doesnt hit even the leaked sites yet. They probably get it from us but who the hell knows. Anyway, yeah, a decent phone is coming from a company no one expected to hear from ever again. 🙂

I asked about the double data plan. I said I read online that tomorrow(the 8th), they would be offering the deal, & I would like to get that on my plan since I only joined 2 weeks ago. She told me she could give me unlimited data for 29.99. She then changed my plan to reflect this. It was a promo still in their system from July.

The double data will last through contract renewal and does not expire. Awesomeeeee.
